The Door of Separation holds farewell and waiting; the Spirit of the Homeland speaks of Palestine and steadfast belonging; Inside a Girl explores a sensitive self confronting a harsh world; and the Door of Pain turns illness, disappointment and setbacks toward renewal. The book does not suggest that healing comes from avoiding suffering. It invites readers to face the threshold that belongs to them and consider how an apparent ending may conceal a beginning.
