This social and psychological work brings together two dramatic stories. The first follows Basant Wahid, who loses her mother early and comes to regard her father as her only home and refuge, before illness and bereavement test her marriage, motherhood and sense of safety. The second examines the friendship between Yomna and the orphaned Mona, as buried jealousy and painful comparisons turn affection into conflict. Through grief, betrayal and hard decisions, both narratives ask how a person can recover a sense of self and establish healthier boundaries.
