Ayat Sehr

About this book

Ayat Sehr offers an intimate poetic reflection on the questions people face in solitude. Yahya Hamad moves between contemplation and passion, exploring identity, existence, estrangement and loss while holding on to hope. Moments of pain are set beside scattered joys, and the poems become a companion to readers searching for consolation. Mystical and mythic visions of love meet the voice of a conscience seeking justice and understanding. The collection invites readers to listen closely to what lies beneath silence and to find, within language, a place that recognises their sense of being far from home.
