The Philosophy of the Psyche and Deviance

About this book

Abdullah Hussein explores the unconscious and the boundaries between behavior regarded as rational and behavior labeled deviant. Drawing on psychoanalytic thought, the book considers repressed desires, childhood fears, guilt, crime, and the pursuit of wealth and appearances. Its reflections ask how hidden conflicts influence conduct and how well people understand their own motives, inner freedom, and peace of mind. This is an Arabic-language edition.
