The Martyr Hanadi Al-Nour Jumaa

About this book

Ahmad Adam Ismail writes about Hanadi Al-Nour Jumaa against the humanitarian crisis in Darfur. The book focuses on her presence in Zamzam camp, her assistance to people affected by the conflict, and her response to oppression. Combining documentary and literary writing, it approaches displacement and violence through an individual life rather than through statistics alone. Courage, dignity and remembrance shape its account of how a person’s story can remain part of a community’s memory.
