The Eye of Life

About this book

Amin preserves his grandmother Ain’s stories of an Egyptian village reshaped by land disputes and agrarian reform. Within that inherited memory, Aziz and Farah’s relationship faces conflicting values, poverty and the lure of quick wealth. The novel connects the fortunes of successive generations with exploitation and fraudulent forex schemes.
