About this book
Yasser Younis presents an Arabic verse translation of selected poems from Charles Baudelaire's The Flowers of Evil. The translator seeks fidelity to the original while recreating poetic rhythm and reducing cultural distance for Arabic readers. The volume opens with a study of Baudelaire and his era and includes a concise comparison with the celebrated Abbasid poet Abu Nuwas.
